# Connect your agent to Wundr

Wundr lets you make wundrs (small interactive cards for a phone feed) with
your own agent: Claude, Codex, Gemini, Cursor or any other that speaks MCP.

MCP server: https://make.wundr.fun/mcp

The same steps for a person, with a copy button: https://www.wundr.fun/mcp

## For the agent reading this

- Sign-in is OAuth, in the person's own browser. **There is no token, key or
  password to copy: never ask the person for one.** A client that supports
  remote MCP servers with OAuth opens the sign-in page by itself, from the
  401's `WWW-Authenticate` header.
- If your client cannot sign in to an MCP server by itself (it asks for a
  bearer token, a header or an API key), connect through mcp-remote instead
  (below). It opens the same sign-in page.
- Tell the person the three steps below before they start, so the first one
  does not surprise them.

## The three steps

1. **Connect.** Add the server to your agent (the commands are below). Your
   browser opens https://www.wundr.fun/connect. Sign in to Wundr, or create an account.
2. **Ask to join.** Making wundrs is open to a few people at a time. If you
   are not in yet, the page says so: press **ask to join**. The team lets you
   in, and there is nothing to do in the meantime.
3. **Approve.** Once you are in, connect again (the same command or button).
   The page now shows **approve**: press it, and your agent can make wundrs.
   Ask it to start (it calls `wundr_start`).

## The command, by agent

**Claude Code**

    claude mcp add --transport http --scope user wundr https://make.wundr.fun/mcp

Then `/mcp`, choose wundr, and Authenticate.

**Codex**

    codex mcp add wundr --url https://make.wundr.fun/mcp
    codex mcp login wundr

In `~/.codex/config.toml`, give it time for a full check (Codex allows a
tool 60 seconds unless told otherwise):

    [mcp_servers.wundr]
    url = "https://make.wundr.fun/mcp"
    tool_timeout_sec = 240

**claude.ai and Claude Desktop**: Customize, Connectors, Add, Add custom
connector, paste the URL, Connect. (A connector must be a public https URL.)

**Any other agent that supports remote MCP with OAuth** (Gemini CLI, Cursor,
ChatGPT and others): add the URL as a remote (HTTP) server; it opens the
browser when it first connects.

**An agent that cannot sign in by itself** (it asks you for a token): run the
server through mcp-remote, as a local (stdio) server:

    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "wundr": {
          "command": "npx",
          "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote@0.1.49", "https://make.wundr.fun/mcp"]
        }
      }
    }

The first time it runs, your browser opens the same sign-in page.

## If something goes wrong

- **"not in the Wundr make beta"**: step 2. Press **ask to join** on the page
  that opens when you connect, and connect again once you are in.
- **401, or "sign in again"**: the sign-in ended. Connect again (Claude Code:
  `/mcp`, Authenticate).
- **The browser never opened**: copy the sign-in link your agent printed into
  a browser. Never paste a token into your agent: Wundr never gives you one.
